Some time ago I found a picture of a quilt with this block pattern. Unfortunately, there was no title to or a label. Maybe there is somebody in blogland can help me?
I would intressted the name and perhaps the history of the pattern.
It was a wonderful two-color quilt in blue and white.

I am completely in love with this pattern.
I will definitely sew this quilt someday.

I don't know this block, but I agree that it is charming. The one to ask is Barbara Brackman. I would be happy to post it on my blog and ask people as well.
its a great pattern but I am sorry to say I can't help you
there are books out there with quilt blocks in then maybe you could search in there.
some blocks are just made up by people as they lay out pieces of fabric or block units (like a hst or a 4 patch with other pieces) and make a new block
Hope you make a quilt like it some day you seem to be very inspired by it

The overall impression of the pattern is similar a bit of plant tendrils.
It is something different that I don't believe I've ever seen before. I see you already have some good advice. Best of luck! Do share when you find out. Have you ever looked at Quilter's Cache? She has oodles of block designs.
