Bücher / Books

Design Wall Monday.. on my fridge.. ;D 

Letzte Woche trafen die ersten wundervollen Bücher bei mir ein.
Ein Nachschlagewerk und 2 Anleitungen mit vielen historischen Mustern. Es macht viel Freude darin zu blättern. :)
Ich bestellte heute zum ersten mal beim Fat Quarter Shop.
Ich bin gespannt wie ein Flitzebogen..

Last week brought the mailservice (amazon) these wonderful books.

A reference work and 2 instructions books with historical patterns.

There is a lot of joy to leafing through. :) 
I ordered today for the first time at the Fat Quarter Shop.

Zwei weitere Bücher besitze ich schon etwas länger.
Das mit den Quiltstichen, denke ich, werde ich nicht brauchen.
Dafür habe ich keine Geduld.. Vielleicht irgendwann, auf einer Almhütte ohne störenden Einflüsse und ohne Fernseher.. hmm..   -.-

Two other books I own a bit longer.

The one with the quilt stitches, I think I will not need.
For this I have no patience.. Maybe someday, on a mountain hut without interference and without television .. hmm ... -.-

looking for the name.. / Namenssuche

Vor einiger Zeit fand ich ein Bild von einem Quilt mit diesem Blockmuster. Leider gab es dazu keinen Titel oder eine Beschriftung. Vielleicht gibt es jemand in Blogland der mir weiterhelfen kann ? Mich würde der Name und vielleicht auch die Geschichte zum Muster interessieren. Es war ein wunderbarer zwei Farben Quilt in blau-weiß.

Some time ago I found a picture of a quilt with this block pattern. Unfortunately, there was no title to or a label. Maybe there is somebody in blogland can help me?

I would intressted the name and perhaps the history of the pattern.

It was a wonderful two-color quilt in blue and white.

Ich bin ganz verliebt in dieses Muster.
Ich werde ganz sicher diesen Quilt irgendwann nähen.

I will definitely sew this quilt someday.

Anfänger / Beginner..

Vor gut 1 1/2 Jahren wagte ich mich in die Welt des Quilten.
Es ist einfach nur faszinierend..manch gute Arbeit rührt mich zu tränen.
Ich besorgte mir billige (auch nicht sehr geschmackvolle) Stoffe,
um zu sehen ob mir dieses Hobby überhaupt liegt.
Auf einer sehr einfachen und billigen Nähmaschine versuchte ich mein Glück. Herauskam sicher kein Meisterwerk ,
aber verstecken muß ich es auch nicht, denke ich.. ;) ..und ein klein wenig stolz bin ich auch !!
Eine Decke und ein Kissenbezug:
Nun heißt es wichtige Werkzeuge anschaffen.. Lineale, Bücher etc.
Vor Allem ein gute Näh-und Quiltmaschine.
Ich habe mich in die Pfaff quilt expression 4.0 verguckt..

Just over 1 1 / 2 years I ventured into the world of quilting. 
It is fascinating..some good work moves me. 
I bought cheap (not very tasty) fabrics to see if this hobby right for me. On a very simple and cheap sewing machine I tried my luck...It certainly came out no masterpiece,  
but I must not hide it too, I think .. ;) ..and a little proud I am !  
A blanket and a pillow case:

Now it is important to purchase tools .. Rulers, guides, etc.
Above all, a good sewing and quilting machine.
I'm looking for the 'Pfaff quilt expression 4.0'.
We'll see ..

Mein nächster Plan ist, etwas aus diesem zu machen.
My next plan is to make something out of it.

Kleinigkeiten..

Ich mag schöne Dinge aus Glas.
Gestern entdeckte ich diese rauchbraune Glasdose im IKEA.
Zudem war sie auch recht günstig.. :)

I like beautiful things made of glass.
Yesterday I discovered this smoke-brown glass jar in the IKEA.
It was also quite cheap.

Mangobäumchen..
Mein erster Versuch aus einem Mangokern ein Pflänzchen zu ziehen.
Nach zwei Wochen in feuchter Erde wurde der Keimling sichtbar.
Ich bin gespannt wie lange er meine Pflege überlebt..

Mango tree ..
My first attempt of a mango seed to take a little plant.
After two weeks in moist soil, the seedling was visible.
I'm curious how long it survived my care ..
